AMD Fidelity FX Super Resolution 2.0 Next-Level. Since its introduction, AMD’s Fidelity FX  Super Resolution up-scaling technology has always played second fiddle to Nvidia’s DLSS, but that may be about to change with Team Red’s launch of FSR 2.0 later this week. And now that DLSS has reached version 2, AMD has caught up.

FSR 2.0, our next-generation temporal upscaling technology, is designed to give image quality that is comparable to or better than native while also improving framerates in supported games across a variety of products and platforms. It may be able to compete with Team Green due to two things. There’s still no word on whether FSR 2.0 will improve performance. However, we’ll learn more at AMD’s GDC Talk. Talk about it with a capital T. The talk’s title is “Next Generation Image Upscaling for Games.” Which sounds eerily similar to the Holodeck. The goosebumps in games are quite genuine.
